Themed around the essence of Motherhood, this spectacular event showcased a cascade of talent and cultural brilliance, making it an unforgettable tableau of performances, with the distinguished Mrs. SujaniBalu, the Correspondent of SaraswathiVidyalaya Matriculation School, gracing the occasion as Chief Guest.
In a literary symphony of words, our school recently hosted a Creative Writing Competition that stirred the imaginative minds of students from grades 6 to 9 and 11. The event unfolded with a variety of narratives, poems, and stories, each penned with passion and creativity. The competition not only showcased the diverse talents of our young writers but also became a melting pot of ideas and expressions. The Creative Writing Competition was not just a showcase of talent; it was a celebration of the boundless imagination that thrives within our student community.
A powerpoint presentation was done on the topic PROPERTIES OF BASIC ARITHMETIC OPERATIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS in Kapila hall. Understanding the properties can help the students to work with numbers more effectively. Our Students from grades 3 to 5 enjoyed the presentation and made it an interesting and interactive session.
“Finding New Entrepreneurs,” a dynamic programme hosted at the school, unfolded with flair as sixth and seventh-grade students stepped into the role of budding entrepreneurs. The event, designed to showcase their innovative products, became a vibrant spectacle for parents who eagerly gathered to witness their children’s entrepreneurial endeavours.The atmosphere was charged with creativity and enthusiasm as each student entrepreneur presented their unique product, passionately pitching ideas that ranged from eco-friendly innovations to tech-savvy gadgets.
The Margazhi Maha Utsavam, a cultural extravaganza held on the 6th of January at the esteemed Kapila Hall, unfolded as a grand celebration of music, embracing a harmonious blend of diverse melodies rooted in various religious traditions. The event radiated cultural richness, featuring enchanting renditions of songs. This jubilant occasion also showcased the elegance of traditional dance forms that added an extra layer of visual delight to the overall spectacle.The highlight of the evening was a spellbinding classical drama, where the stage became a canvas for the artistic portrayal of evergreen characters. Our school enthusiastically embraced the spirit of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ on 31st October, commemorating the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The morning assembly commenced with the administration of the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ Pledge, fostering a sense of unity and commitment to our nation’s integrity.
The highlight of the day was the ‘Run for Unity,’ where students participated in short and long-distance runs, symbolizing the spirit of national integration.
Kindergarten students exhibited a theme activity on Healthy and unhealthy foods, exploring fruits, vegetables, and food groups. This fostered familiarity with nutritious options and deepened their understanding.The students were able to grasp the distinctions between healthy and unhealthy foods, emphasizing the importance of making nutritious choices.
The Christmas and New Year celebration
The school transformed into a festive wonderland as students from Pre-KG- Gr 9 and 11 came together for a joyous Christmas and New Year celebration on December 22nd. The air was filled with festive cheer as young voices harmonized in joyful carols, and lively dance performances lit up the stage.From the twinkling smiles of our littlest participants in Pre-KG to the confident performances of our high school students, the event truly embraced the spirit of the season.

The Grey Cap Quiz, a thrilling intellectual showdown, unfolded as students from grades 6 to 9 and 11, organized to their respective houses, showcased their knowledge gleaned from the comprehensive Grey Caps books. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as each house, armed with wisdom and quick thinking, navigated through questions that spanned the realms of science, literature, mathematics, and more. It was a battle of wits and recall, that left both participants and spectators in awe.

parade, characters from diverse genres enacted proudly before the captivated audience. From whimsical tales in literature to the intricate plots of novels, each character brought their unique essence to the artistic show case. Fantasy realms collided with historical epics, and the charisma of protagonists mingled with the enigma of antagonists, creating a vibrant tapestry of literary imagination that left the audience spellbound.
The Children’s Day celebration unfolded in a riot of joy, as teachers transformed into performers, delighting students with a medley of songs, energetic dances, and funny riddles. The air buzzed with laughter and excitement as educators, usually confined to the role of mentors, took center stage, showcasing their creative flair. The melodic tunes and synchronized dances brought smiles to young faces, creating a lively ambiance. The highlight was the uproarious funny games, where teachers and students bonded through shared laughter, forging memories that echoed the spirit of this special day dedicated to the pure joy of childhood.

Navaratri Celebration- October 20th, 2023
On the morning of October 20th, 2023, our school campus was adorned with vibrant colours and resonated with the mellifluous tunes of devotional songs by our students as we celebrated Navaratri, the festival dedicated to the worship of the divine feminine. The celebration was a grand spectacle, featuring a heartfelt choir performance and special puja ceremonies conducted by our diligent students from grades 10 and 12.The puja was a solemn and heartwarming ritual, demonstrating the students’ deep faith and determination in their academic pursuits.The atmosphere during the puja was filled with an aura of spirituality and hope, as the students chanted mantras, and offered flowers and prasad to the goddesses.

Program from 1st to 15 th September and as part of it an awareness programme was conducted on September 20, 2023.The program aimed to promote cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene awareness among students, fostering a sense of responsibility towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The program encompassed various activities and presentations centered around cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene.
Another highlight of the program was the detailed discussion on the importance of handwashing. Students were made aware of why handwashing is crucial in preventing the spread of illnesses, especially in the current global health scenario.

On 19th of August, 2023, our school hosted a remarkable event that focused on nurturing creativity in students. The “School Collage Competition” had a simple yet powerful goal – to encourage students to explore their artistic talents using newspapers as their primary resource.
It was a celebration of creativity and resourcefulness.
On the sunny morning of September 30th, 2023, the campus of Honey Bunch Senior Secondary School came alive with the vibrant spirit of sportsmanship as it hosted its 7 th Annual Sports Day. The event was divided into two segments:Pre- KG- Grade 5 took centre stage in the morning, with the distinguished Chief Guest, Ms. Supriya – Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar, gracing the occasion. Later in the day, the older students of grades 6 to 12 showcased their athletic prowess, with the esteemed Guest of Honours, Ms. Priya Rajkumar and Ms. Shantha Sabapathy, adding a touch of prestige to the event.

In the month of August, grades 6,7,8,9,&11 embarked on an exciting educational journey to the Experimenta Science Centre, set up by GD Naidu Charities, located at Avinashi Road, Coimbatore.The science centre, nestled in the heart of the city, welcomed the eager minds with its interactive exhibits and engaging displays.The adventure began as students explored the science centre’s diverse galleries, each housing a unique array of hands-on exhibits and scientific wonders from interactive displays on physics and chemistry to immersive experiences in biology and technology.In addition to the educational aspect, the field trip offered a chance for students to bond and build lasting memories with their classmates.
It was with immense joy and gratitude, Teachers’ Day celebration was organised at our school on 2nd September , where the students paid tribute to the invaluable mentors who shape their future.The mesmerizing dances, melodious songs, and thought-provoking skit showcased the deep respect and admiration they hold for their teachers. The teachers’ faces lit up with pride and happiness as they watched their students’ performances.
Independence Day celebration for the year 2023 was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our students, teachers, and staff. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief guest Mrs C Jayachitra , Tahsildar, Pollachi . The moment was filled with reverence and pride. The cultural programmes not only showcased the students’ talents ,but also reminded everyone of the struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

TOURNAMENT- 2023-2024 on 28th July, Friday. The tournament brought together an impressive array of talent and camaraderie. With a total of 33 schools participating, the event saw a dynamic competition across three distinct age categories: under 14, under 16, and under 19.
The Grandparents’ Day Celebration for this academic year was held on 15 th July,2023 and brought together students, teachers and most importantly, their beloved grandparents.
As a golden feather in the crown, one of the grandparents showed his gratitude in the form of a letter appreciating the effort of the School Management to make them happy and filled.

The election for Students Governing Committee 2023-24 (13/7/2023) and Investiture ceremony ( 19/7/23) were held at the school with great enthusiasm and excitement. The election was conducted democratically, allowing students to elect their representatives, while the Investiture ceremony served as a platform to bestow authority upon the newly elected leaders.The reverent RTO of Pollachi, Mr. P. “OUR WORLD IS FILLED WITH COLOURS”.
Our Kindergarten students of Honey Bunch celebrated COLOUR THEME ACTIVITY on 28th June 2023. The students were dressed in glowing colours like red, green, yellow, orange and blue. This activity was designed for the children to enhance their colour perception and more competitive spirit was found among the children.
The school joyously celebrated International Yoga Day ( 21 June 2023) fostering physical and mental well-being. Students and teachers united in a harmonious session, practising various asanas and breathing techniques. The atmosphere was serene, encouraging mindfulness and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event instilled a profound appreciation for the ancient art of yoga among all participants.
In view of providing a great opportunity for children to learn new skills and develop existing ones, a ‘Sports Summer Camp’ is being organized in the school campus for the students of grades 5 to 11 during the summer break of the year 2023. With the guidance of experienced instructors and a supportive atmosphere, children can have a summer they will never forget.
